Likes-to-followers ratio calculator

Type your follower count to see how many likes per post look natural, and add your current average to see where you sit.

Likes per post for your account

We use 2 to 6% of followers, a typical band for small and mid-sized Instagram accounts. A Reel that travels can go far beyond it.

Why the ratio matters

Followers and likes are read together. A profile with 5,000 followers and 15 likes a post looks inflated; one with 500 followers and 2,000 likes looks odd in the other direction. Keeping likes within a sensible band of followers makes the whole profile believable.

How we set the range

For most small and medium Instagram accounts, average likes per post land somewhere between 2 and 6 per cent of followers. Bigger accounts often sit lower; very engaged niche accounts higher. It’s a guide, not a rule.

Using it before buying

If you’re adding followers, the range tells you whether your posts will still look in proportion afterwards. If you’re adding likes, it tells you a sensible size. For example, at 2,500 followers, 50 to 150 likes per post looks natural, so a 100 or 250 like package fits better than 5,000.
